I like 049! You captured one of my favorite poses of his in all its strength. I remember back when I started with the franchise I expected to find the stuff with Mickey and Minnie trite and stupid, but before you know it you find yourself thinking, "EVERYTHING WOULD BE ALL RIGHT IF I COULD JUST SEE KING MICKEY!"

I agree I was wary of the Disney elements when I started the series, but King Mickey and Queen Minnie are really cool

on icon 40 is it a contrast/color issue (light purple text on gray) or is it the small text being too small?

I think it's a number of issues in combination - I find that with script text I just can't read it on icons, in general. Not just yours, but anybody's. I think it's just too complex and too small, and just barely to individualized to be able to recognize the general shapes of letters and words. Hell, I've seen plenty of icons out there where, until someone commented, I couldn't actually tell I was looking at text at all. It may be just me and my vision being bad, for all I know.
