I think it's a number of issues in combination - I find that with script text I just can't read it on icons, in general. Not just yours, but anybody's. I think it's just too complex and too small, and just barely to individualized to be able to recognize the general shapes of letters and words. Hell, I've seen plenty of icons out there where, until someone commented, I couldn't actually tell I was looking at text at all. It may be just me and my vision being bad, for all I know.
